Reliability Testing
A reliability test is a type of load test that assesses a Web application's dependability and stability. Reliability tests seek to uncover problems that may only appear after placing consistent workloads on an application for a long period of time.
Assessing whether a system meets (or will meet) its reliability goals, as measured by availability, mean time between failure (
MTBF) and mean time to repair (
MTTR).
