Master Station or Controller and Driver Machine

The Master Station or Controller is the computer which controls the execution of the load Test by starting and stopping virtual user processes that run on the driver machines.

In a load Test, a driver machine is a computer used to host the functions of the virtual users defined in the test. Driver machines can each run as many as several hundred virtual users.
