Environmental Testing
Any test that does not primarily concentrate on functional or feature correctness, but instead concentrates on either: (1) How the development and maintenance process affects the testing process (e.g., modifications vs. new development, software packages vs. custom-built solutions), and (2) How the system will operate in its real-world environment (e.g., performance, usability, security controls, compatibility across different configurations or platforms).
