Concurrent Users
Dangerously misleading statistic representing the total number of overlapping users who are actually accessing the site or who have active sessions at a specific instant in time.
The immanence of connected users to an
AUT/
SUT(Application under test), irrespective of their actual operative states (ready, waiting for response, running) to such extent that the
AUT is required to dedicate system resources to manage sessions of aforementioned connected users is deemed concurrent usage. These concurrent users may or may not be performing the same tasks. A typical example would be the consequence of X open sessions to an application as a result of a workload of X users from a load testing tool being applied.
