Acceptance Test
An independent test to determine if a systems meets its acceptance criteria, performed by the users or by a QA group or a third party on behalf of the users, usually after the system test, and prior to accepting the delivered system.
Testing and assessment of whether the organization is ready to place a system in live operation. This encompasses not just system testing but can include other activities such as reviewing the users? readiness to proceed with the system installation.
